Project Life August 2012 Week 3

This week’s Project Life layout centered around my son Joshua and his move-in for sophomore year of college.

The left side of the layout has hand written journaling as well as pics of my son and the oatmeal packets we made him for college. His seminary does not have a cafeteria so I try to send him some homemade frozen foods to make sure he’s eating properly.

The right layout contains a post I wrote here about the struggle with saying goodbye to my son every year and tidbits of advice (which I’m sure he followed. Not.)

Thank you for visiting and sharing the little moments of our lives.

  1. Great layout! I love that you included the tidbits of advice you gave him.

    • Thanks for the compliment! I do love this layout and including my advice to my son. Having a child married and one in college is bittersweet but change is a constant part of our lives. Recording it gives me perspective as I look back on our lives. Blessings to you today, Kelli!

  2. Love your layout! So simple and clean. That’s so wonderful of you to send your son meals. It reminds me of how my grandfather used to send care packages full of food and goodies. It’s a wonderful reminder that you are loved.

    • Thanks, Cerise. My Project Life albums are very simple, but you really can make them as easy or as hard as you like. I love that about them. And yes, I’ve discovered food is the way to a college boy’s heart (and his friends’ hearts!)

  3. This is so wonderful that you documented this. I can’t imagine our boys going off to college….

    • I never imagined my kids would actually leave, either! But they did and I miss them terribly (two still at home) but we appreciate the times we are all together as a family so much more. Thanks for visiting!
