7 Repurposed Wood Projects from Marty's Musings

You might say we like a good repurposed wood project around here.

Or maybe my husband just likes the idea of free stuff.

So along the way this last year we’ve managed to incorporate a bunch of wood into a lot of projects.

Our latest and probably my most favorite is our small bathroom remodel.

This vanity is completely made from fence boards by my husband. He did a great job making this space work for us.

He also made fence board shelves and a shelf for over the toilet.

One of my husband’s most creative ideas was the fence board backsplash.

Using wood from a neighbor’s yard he lightly sprayed and stained the cut wood. It gives our kitchen a great beach cottage feel.

Our kitchen is definitely the room Tim has showered with fence board love!

I absolutely love this family photo frame we made with an old window, fence boards and a black and white engineering print.

Also in the kitchen are our shabby chic dining chairs. My husband fixed our old cane backed chairs (which were hidden under old chair covers) and used plywood for an insert, painted and distressed the chairs themselves and covered the seats with new fabric. I absolutely love them!

Moving into the living room, one of my husband’s first projects I featured here on the blog was his rustic table made out of an old window. If he had only known what he was getting himself into!

The easiest repurposed wood project by far? This pallet shelf display. Simple and meaningful, with accessories I can change around as the spirit moves.

The final stop on our repurposed wood project tour?

A table my husband built to go in our transformed den. Also made of fence posts, this table is small and rustic, just right for our new pergo flooring and red sectional.
