We’re not big sports fans at our house. Surprisingly, I’m the biggest one of all!

Some of my fondest family memories as a kid, however, were of Saturday afternoons watching UNC-Chapel Hill basketball games on our black and white TV. (Yes, I’m that old.)

My grandmother lived with us until her death, and she would even listen to the radio games in her bedroom at night. That was true devotion.

Somehow, though,  I married a boy from Iowa who doesn’t care a whit about sports. Imagine that.

He decided that he would root for Duke (UNC’s fiercest rival) just to get me riled up (or to be ornery). Not nice.

So even though we don’t go to games and tailgate, there’s still nothing like family time around the fire with a favorite treat.

Snicker’s S’mores.

Hi. My name is Marty and I’m a chocolate fanatic.

And Snickers? The best of the best.

It tastes good all by itself.

Or smooshed up in ice cream. (That’s a technical term. Smooshed.)

These Snickers and Milky Way bites?

Absolutely irresistible.

What better way to celebrate family togetherness than with a Snicker’s S’mores recipe?

Snickers and Chocolate

You can thank me later.

We used the chocolate graham crackers and both the Snickers and Milky Way Bites.

I love the fact that they’re small and (if I can exercise restraint) I can eat just a few instead of the whole bag.

Totally amazing. And also absolutely perfect for those of you who tailgate . Go Heels!

  1. I am a huge fan of simple recipes and this is exactly that. I love love love s’mores so much and I was sad I did not get to have any this summer. What the heck, right? Thankfully it’s still nice out so I shall. And I still have some Milky Way Bites left over. Perfect! #amazing
