Fall Tablescape Ideas

Fall Tablescape Ideas

I love fall and everything about it.

Brisk weather. Sweaters. Oh, how I love sweater weather!

Fall leaves (probably because I’m not the one raking them!)

 Fall Tablescape Ideas

At All Things Home we couldn’t think of anything better than hosting a fall tablescape tour to celebrate the season.

Welcome!

Fall Tablescape Ideas

These fall tableescape ideas are probably my most favorite ones ever.

They combine everything I love: burlap, rustic wood, thrifted decor and painted glass.

You can see my original centerpiece below as part of my fall home tour.

Let’s just imagine those pumpkin muffins are still fresh and ready to serve with a glass of iced tea. I am Southern after all!

As I prepared my Thanksgiving table (and I WILL be using this for that special day in our family)

I wanted to pull together a mixture of rustic wood

combined with burlap accents

and heirloom crystal passed down from my mom.

My husband made the rustic chargers for me. I’m thinking I’ll never run out of projects for his free fence boards!

 Fall Tablescape Ideas

I used an everyday white china that was given to my married daughter that I snatched away when she wasn’t using it.

Dollar stores bowls add a pattern and the chalkboard tags tied with jute add additional rustic charm.

This metal container was $1 at a yard sale and is a perfect complement to the bright flowers.

I love the detailing on it and the fact that I didn’t have to lift one finger to make it beautiful.

These glass bottles were sprayed with an orange gloss spray paint that adds color and shine to the arrangement.

Underneath it all is the fence board box that my hubby made for me. This box has transitioned through Christmas, springFourth of July and everyday.

There will be more to come on the no sew burlap table runner, simple chalkboard tags and the rustic wooden chargers my DIY hubby made.

Thank you for visiting Marty’s Musings, and I hope I provided a little bit of thrifty inspiration!

  1. Hi Marty, I’m making my way through the Fall tablescapes.
Lovely setting. I really like the use of the pinecones and those rustic wood table “mats” are such a wonderful (and easy) idea too.
Pleasure to pop over and browse. Have a nice day.

  2. Love it! I love that it’s so cheerful–like Baz Luhrmann’s “Moulin Rouge” for your table!

  3. Marty – you did a fantastic job on your table! I love all of the rustic elements. I think that I need to steal Tim away to make some of those “placemats” for me! Looking forward to seeing how you made your no-sew runner.

I love the orange bottles. Do you know what you used for the paint. I would love to do some orange accents in our bedroom – it has blues in it. Thank you for sharing your ideas. :-)

  5. I love the board mats! Beautiful Fall table, Marty!

  6. Love the bright bottles and palatte place mats! Very cool and different!

  7. Hi Marty~ Your table is so colorful! I especially love the fence post placemats!! They are awesome!! Great job on the whole table!! ~Jennifer

  8. LOOOOOOVE those wood plate chargers! So lovely!

  9. Love the color palette you chose! So fresh, cheerful, and energetic!!

  10. Hi Marty- what a great table. Love how you sprayed the bottles orange for your flowers. I also love how everything has purpose and meaning to your family.

  11. This is gorgeous! I think the wood chargers are my favorite part!

  12. Marty, you could sell those wooden fence board chargers. I am drooling over them!!!! I love this table filled with color and great texture… and so lovingly set with name plates and all!

  13. So pretty Marty and I love all the pops of orange. I am amazed at those wood chargers…I love the texture they add to your table. I hope your Thanksgiving Day is filled with love and laughter. Blessings to you…Ann

  14. So pretty Marty!! I adore the rustic chargers your husband made, I think I may need some of those myself. ;) The color combination is classic yet fresh and inviting! It looks like it will be a beautiful Thanksgiving at your home.

    Heather

    • Hi, Heather. Thanks for the sweet compliments on my tablescape. I think maybe I’m getting better at them! Or maybe I’m just accumulating more stuff! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

  15. These are great, Marty–rustic, inexpensive, but so lovely! Thank you for sharing your ideas. I pinned this and I’m going to feature it on my Imparting Grace Facebook page today!

    • Hi, Richella. Thanks so much for sharing my fall tablescape. I had so much fun with it and it’s going back up again at Thanksgiving. Loved your pillow tutorial by the way and I pinned that, too!

  16. I love the rustic elegance of your table. And those chargers are amazing! Be sure you tell Tim I said so. Before you’re finished, you’ll have him building a house of out old fence boards. And I’m glad to see I’m not the only one to beg, borrow and steal for my Thanksgiving table. I’m finally getting around to sharing all these amazing tablescapes on Facebook, Pinterest and Google+

    • A house out of fence boards? You are genius! It will probably be for me when Tim kicks me out of the house because I’m asking him to make me one more project! Thank you for pinning and sharing!

  17. I love this rustic look. How might you make it more formal?

    • Hi, Tess. I love the mixture of casual and rustic but you could make it more formal by using a different china. I added the crystal because it has such sentimental memories for me. Thanks for visiting my blog!

  18. It’s hard to come by educated people about this subject, but you sound like you
know what you’re talking about! Thanks

I love the pop of bright fuchsia in the arrangement. It is so lovely. You do such good work and I look forward to your email everyday.
