Easy fall decorating tips and tricks with yard sale treasures, natural elements and repurposed accessories for the no stress seasonal home!

 Home and Idea

It’s been an interesting process these last few days as I’ve committed to writing my series 31 Days to a Beautiful Home. I have so many projects, ideas, tips, parenting struggles, faith stories and recipes I want to share. I’m not sure I should tell you this, but I couldn’t possibly run out of things to say!

But since I’m wondering if any of y’all (besides my poor husband) are getting tired of my writing and projects, I’m going to mostly let my pictures speak for me today.

Trust me when I say it’s not too late to add a few touches to your home in celebration of fall. Christmas may be right around the corner but it’s not here yet so let’s celebrate the cooler weather and these simple tips for easy fall decorating.

Tips and Tricks for Easy Fall Decorating

A vase of flowers on a table

I started my pretend mantel vignette with this $10 cathedral window. Yep, that’s right. It was a $10 yardsale purchase that I really wasn’t sure of at the time. $10 is a little high for my budget but I knew I wanted to use it somewhere.

A vase of flowers sits in front of a window

The window anchors the vignette as the featured element and everything else came from my usual attic stash.

A bouquet of flowers in a vase on a table

This distressed copper bucket was part of last year’s fall tablescape, and I just repurposed it this year for the vignette!

These white candle holders have been used to hold everything from burlap wrapped candles to Valentine decorations to candles at my daughter’s wedding.

Pumpkin and Table

This cute grapevine pumpkin was a dollar treasure.

I still like using traditional fall colors because the pop of color brightens my otherwise neutral living room. The rag wreath is so easy and one of my favorite ways to incorporate fabrics.

A room filled with furniture and vase of flowers on a table

This little vignette contains a $1 green bowl that I absolutely love and a grouping of mini pumpkins. That’s it. So easy!

A bowl of fruit sitting on top of a wooden table

Do you notice how similar this rustic copper bucket is to the one on the piano? I found it this summer  (for $1, what else?) and knew it would make a great addition to our window table.

Home and Idea

Filled with pine cones and acorns it’s now a favorite for my living room.

Did you get any new ideas for easy fall decorating or find a new project to try? I’d love to know!

  3. I love that rustic copper bucket with the pine cones. Think what I love most is the fact that nothing is overdone. Everything looks so pretty, but not over-the-top which is how I like it! I love the deals you get too 😉

    1. Thank you so much for the sweet compliment, Jane! Sometimes I tend to use too many accessories so I’m glad I used just enough! Have a great day!
