If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time you probably know my DIY hubby and I like to repurpose old fence boards, cast off windows and my yard sale finds.
Since we’re talking fall how about 3 easy DIY fall wreaths you can make in an evening?
I saw these wooden blocks from Karianne at Thistlewood Farms and knew I wanted to do something similar with my $1 yard sale grapevine wreath.
The letter squares were just more of my husband’s fence board collection cut to fit the size of each individual letter and drilled with a hole to attach the wire.
I used the same paint as my front door for the chipboard letters. (It’s Behr Japanese Kimono if you want to know the fabulous color!)
The wood was lightly dusted with a white spray paint and the letters glued on.
I took some yard sale flowers I bought and hot glued them to the wreath.
The wreath greets visitors to my home and just makes me happy!
The next project is my take on a rag wreath made with a coat hanger by my friend Claire at The Rustic Pig.
I’ll give you some more details later in the week but wanted to share this wreath I made in one hour!
The next wreath was a $1 yard sale purchase that I primped up a bit with ripped fabric ties and a bit of rearranging.
I love how cute it looks with this old window. I am loving using old clothes to add some color and texture to my fall decor.
Have you taken the fall tour of my home? I’d love if you’d stop by and have a pumpkin muffin!
