A brisk breeze accompanied the rays of sun shining on us from the heavens above.
And then today happened.
Wet, dreary with a forecast of wintry mush.
I’m just going to close my eyes and pretend that I’m sitting on our deck with the warm breezes blowing….
instead of bundled up in my parka and ski hat.
(Not really……I don’t even own a parka and ski hat, but you get the idea.)
To help you visualize that happy place with me I’m sharing my Lemon Poppy Seed Bread recipe.
A touch of spring in a loaf of quick bread.
It is totally delicious and a fabulous way to start the day!

Wonderful recipe Marty! Thanks for sharing. I think I will make this one for a company coming for the weekend.
Yum Marty! Thanks for hosting all these ladies and their wonderful spring ideas.
Thanks, Diana! Have a blessed day!
The bread looks mighty tasty. Can I join you in your delusions — I mean fantasies? So done with this weather. Maybe we should go to Utah now; I bet it’s sunny and warm there!
I’m sure Utah would be a lovely place to visit in March! I do love sweater weather and this snow is even pretty. So glad I did my tablescape yesterday!
This looks absolutely wonderful, Marty. I think it would make a great addition to our Easter breakfast menu.
Thank you so much, Paula! I can’t believe Easter is just a few weeks away and we have snow on the ground!
Oh my – this sounds so good! I love anything lemony. I’ll take a cup of coffee with my slice, please.
I have some Keurig coffee, Suzy, but I don’t drink it myself! The bread is delicious with dinner, too 🙂
