I do that all.the.time.
I am not a decorator or expert on anything home decor related, but I do know what I like and what I don’t.
Discovering all that really matters is having a home that is both lived in and loved in has been freeing for me..
I love to browse Pinterest (you can follow me here) but I do so to gather ideas in helping me discover my own personal style.
I think I’m shabby chic meets rustic with a pop of color thrown in!
Even though I decorated our bedroom for practically nothing, I knew our budget makeover wasn’t quite complete. I love the headboard but there wasn’t enough pop for me.
Sometimes a room just needs a finishing touch.
What do you think?
I love it so much! This DIY fabric rag banner cost nothing and adds just the right amount of accent with my otherwise neutral gray walls.
You can find the complete tutorial on making a rag wreath here (the principal is exactly the same).
I used fabric from a swag bag at Haven Conference, ivory burlap, lace from a yard sale and scraps from no sew pillows.
I used jute to hang the fabric strips on and tie to the bed.
The adorable sign reminding my husband to “always kiss me goodnight” was found half price at Hobby Lobby.

Lovely touch. The grey and white is so restful and the salmon? accents are just right. Like how you even found a book in that shade 😉
Hi, Jen. Thank you so much. I’ve loved having a “grown up” bedroom filled with things I love!

Oh, Marty, I LOVE this! The sentiment… the colors… everything! Thanks for sharing.
