Such a lovely picture of my now almost 15-year-old daughter.
The dress was a $2 bargain from Goodwill.
That cute smile. Priceless.
She practically wore that dress to pieces.
I helped it along a little.
Look at that lovely white eyelet material.
And that pretty pink waistband.
Did you see the pink tulle peeking out from under the hem?
I see it again. Repurposed and revived.
Simple. Practical. Sweet. Just like my girl.
Need a few more thrifty Valentine decorating ideas?
The candles are the same ones I used in my fall decor (on a budget) and my (almost) Christmas mantel.
Still no mantel but I love it just the same.
Just a few books from our personal library celebrating love.
I thought I’d get right to work reading a few…….
I’m a little partial to the holiday.
In fact, I used my little album celebrating our 25th Valentine’s Day anniversary as part of my decor.
My kids are getting their Valentine goodies in treat cups.
We’ll have a lovely dinner of our favorite love chicken at our sweetly decorated table.
Now I just have to think of something creative for my guy since it is our special day.
Any ideas?
What a sweet idea, Marty. I love it! “Love”ly vignette for Valentine’s Day. 🙂
Thank you so much for the compliment, Sheila! Valentine’s Day has always been special since it’s our anniversary, too. 27 this year! Have a blessed day!
I love the use of the old dress to give the candles a new and more expensive look.
What a clever idea for such a cute dress! Love it!
This is a great idea! Love how you upcycled this dress! I’ll have to think of that with my daughter’s old clothes! Thanks for sharing this! Pinning this idea for later! =D
Thanks for visiting Marty’s Musings and commenting on a couple of my posts. You can tell we are a DIY family and having fun at it. We also homeschool, too. I hope you find some pages you enjoy on my blog.
Blessings,
Marty
I love this idea! My little girl is only 18 months old, but seeing your darling daughter at 15 in such a beautiful dress makes me treasure my time with my own daughter, since I know it won’t be but a wink and a nod and she’ll be 15 too! So sweet.
